Aibu to believe that my iPhone Touch ID no longer works because I've washed my hands too much?
My hands aren't wet when I'm trying it and I know I can't wash my fingerprints off, but... it's stopped working and dh has had exactly the same issue with his phone!
Has anyone else found that they have this issue?

Nope and I’m washing my hands constantly

Mine has always been hideously unreliable.

Flaky skin on the pads of your fingers stops it working if your hands get really dry. You know when everything you touch seems to snag.

Oh yes nothing I know what you mean! I particularly hate touching microfibre (shudder) when it tries to stick to my fingers. I do have an awful lot of lines on my hands and fingers and o wondered if it could be that obscuring my fingerprint. I usually have no issues with it.

If I'm really dehydrated mine doesn't work
