Easter eggs for schools

We aren't keyworkers so our children are not attending school at the minute. However, like many schools around the country, our local one is staying open over the Easter holidays to look after the children of keyworkers.
I've got a food delivery arriving next week, and I thought it might be a nice idea to add some Easter eggs to the order and then drop them off at the school entrance early one morning (whilst on our usual walk) with an anonymous note just saying thank you for all you are doing etc etc.
AIBU to do this? I don't know if I am just overthinking it, but I'm worried that adding a bunch of Easter eggs to an otherwise "essential" food order might be frowned upon or that the teachers will see the eggs as wasteful or something.

I think that's a lovely gesture.

It would be appreciated by the staff, but a few packs of chocolate biscuits would do the job too!
