To ask if anyone knows what this video effect would be called?

Does anyone know what the over-exposure? (not the split screen) video effect near the start of the Martha and the Muffins Echo Beach video would be called?

(brilliant song, I must say).

I'm trying to prepare for DC's birthday and am making some things to amuse her, in between work and life, given it looks like things will get busier.

I wanted to try and apply a similar effect to some video of her but haven't found how it would be described to find, apply the effect or learn how to do it if it needs lots of different operations.

Grateful for any suggestions.

Is it negative?

Zilla1 · 02/04/2020 18:17

Thank you but it seems to my uneducated eye to be a mix of negative, pixelation and 'over-exposure', I just don't know if it's a recognised effect with a particular name that would make it easy to apply when editing.

Hi OP, I think the effect is solarisation.

Thank you, too. I'll try that and see what else I need to do. Very grateful.

It looks like it has been shot with a thermal image camera.

You can use the saturation and alter the colour range, that will change the color spectrum
