Any idea how furloughed pay works?

I've been furloughed by my employer on 80% pay.
Does anyone know how/when this is paid? I get paid monthly but I'm guessing that the government will just pay it as one lump sum on a certain date as to much admin otherwise.Just trying to work out best way to budget as no idea when I'll next get some money coming in.

Don’t you get paid from your employer as usual at the new rate and they reclaim the money.

Your employer should pay it on your usual pay day. They claim the grant from the government, not you.

In reality some companies won't have the money and will have to wait til the government pays out.

My partner is on 80% pay, He's paid weekly. Had his first 80% pay today. I think businesses have to claim it back when its available for them, maybe end of april?

Your employer should pay you on your normal day. I get paid weekly on a Thursday and I got me payslip today and instead of the days I've worked it says 'furlough' and '1'.

Your employer should continue to pay you on your usual pay date but at your revised amount of pay.

It doesn't matter when your employer receives the grant. That should not affect you. It is an entirely separate transaction. Your employer will receive a sum which will cover the appropriate amount for all employees he has registered as furloughed.

I get paid weekly, I got my 80% pay today into my bank and my employer will claim it back from the government.
