Breast Lump AIBU?

I’ve found a new breast lump having previously been diagnosed with. Fibroadenomas. During this current coronavirus situation WIBU to assume it’s just another one of those and to monitor for changes? I’m in my late 20s so the risk of it being cancer seems quite low. The lump feels rubber like rather than hard and is about 2cm across. From what I understand the hospital are cancelling cancer investigations and treatment anyway?

You'd be sensible to phone your gp and take their advice. Like you say, it's probably nothing but at least being first on the list in a few weeks is better than leaving a call till then. Our breast unit is separate to the hospital so they may send you somwhere set up like that. Hope all is well.

Definitely ask your GP for advice. However where I work (in the breast clinic) we are no longer accepting routine referrals because we need to focus our limited resources at the moment on investigating people who have symptoms most likely to be cancer. A lump when you are under 30 is very unlikely to be cancer (less than 3% chance) and therefore doesn't meet the criteria for an urgent referral.

This might be different where you are so no harm in asking your GP for advice.
