I work in a room measuring around 8 x 8 metres, there are 14 of us, both male and female. It's all open plan and social distancing is being largely ignored with the managers and directors and people from other departments 'popping in' even to put a piece of paper in the shredding bag, or for a simple question that could have been dealt with via email or phone. Yesterday (between working) I counted over 40 visitors from other departments. Visitors are leaning on the backs of chairs and sitting on any chair that is temporarily vacant...I'm fuming and finding it very stressful. No infection control has been introduced such as wipes/hand sanitiser.
Am I being unreasonable to expect better standards?
Would I be within my rights to demand more respect for my health or to say I'll go home until protocol is put in place? Ironically I work in healthcare.
