to think I can lose weight through dance?

And by dance I mean dancing in my lounge with my 17 month old for an hour a day. This plus healthy eating should be doable, right? I have a running buggy but have identified that I possibly have a prolapse due to childbirth. Running out of the question until I can see my GP. Any other ideas welcome. I have 2 stone to go!

Absolutely! Its a great way to exercise. And with reducing calories you are guaranteed to lose weight. Good luck!

BrightYellowDaffodil · 31/03/2020 13:35

Of course you can!

Weight loss is 80% diet, so make sure you're focussing on that. But the dancing will help tone your body up.

Yes!!!! I lost 3stone in 3 months by dancing in my house for an hour. I wore a fitbit and it recorded it as ‘active minutes’ and also clocked up approximately 6000 steps in the hour.

Good luck.

Have you tried joe wicks 9am pe classes mon-fri?
He'll definitely work on the thighs & bum

Healthy eating is the main part - exercise makes you hungry. The good thing is it also improves your body composition, mental health and stamina. Maybe take a before and after pic rather than scales.

The dancing with the stars pros did some really good workouts, you might be able to find then online.

You won't lose weight from the dancing alone but if it's an hour that you're not snacking (terrible temptation atm) it would help. Diet will be the thing that makes the most difference. Dancing will burn around 300 calories per hour. You need to burn 3500 to drop a pound of fat.

Sounds fun though Smile

Dancing is great exercise, but it won't have that much effect on your weight unless if you make changes to your eating habits as well.

twinkletits99 · 31/03/2020 15:00

I'm eating healthily so that's not going to be an issue. Thankfully
