Buying online

Feel conflicted. Seeing how ASOS workers have been treated was really awful. I definitely won't ever shop there again. My son is 17 months old and is growing out of a lot of his clothes. I usually get things from Facebook marketplace but of course this isn't possible now. The thing he really needs is a new coat/splash suit as it doesn't fit him anymore. I should've been more organised and bought one earlier but of course none of us could have predicted this. Have this horrible gut feeling that I shouldn't be shopping online now, but also want to take my son out on his reigns so he can run around outdoors on our daily walk. WIBU to buy a new coat/splash suit and vests etc online?

If he needs new clothes you should buy them. You risk a bunfight by getting into this, though, e.g. this thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/3865163-the-ethics-of-unnecessary-deliveries

@everythingisginandroses oh man. Missed that thread! It's very frustrating as there are dozens of snowsuits on marketplace for a fraction of the price. I shouldn't have even looked knowing it's not an option! Wondering if it's better to buy from a small independent but not sure I can afford it.

Definitely don't order from monsoon then, I used to work in their distribution centre, and have friends that still work there, there's no enforcement of social distancing, no extra hand sanitiser or ppe for them, it's as if there's no pandemic at all from what I hear, and they've had confirmed cases.

But that being said, if your child needs new clothes cuz they're growing out of them then it's an essential, not a luxury.

I have virtually stopped for the workers sake but I do worry about smaller firms going under

I have a couple of thick jumpers that are a size too big for him. I may just out those on him with lots of layers and a hat instead.

You can still marketplace.

Post cash through door and person leaves on doorstep
