MLM and the virus

AIBU to be absolutely disgusted by the rise of MLM bots with
"I know many are going through tough financial times so I wanted to give you a shout about this amazing opportunity"

Fuck off! If you are MLM hun currently hiring "because you just want to help others who lost their job" and you are reading it, let me tell you that there is a special place in hell for you.

Does anyone know how to rid facebook of them? I don't know what to report it as so they are blocked not just from the group? These people should be blocked off facebook. Admins on some groups are great, but some groups are just way too busy. Bloodu hyenas and their diarhhoea coffee.

Sorry for the typos! I am so angry

They are going to hell. Vultures. Luckily people are more wise to mlms now and often call them out when they advertise on local fb groups.

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 29/03/2020 21:05

Sadly no! This is on immigrant groups too imo even more vulnerable because many aren't even eligible for any state help.
Fuck sake.
Way too many "Pm please"s.

One by me was flogging Body Shop handcreams at normal price, to send into hospitals to give to nurses. I guess she just had a lot of hand cream in stock and no prospect of shifting it?
My Trust provides staff with decent perfume and dye free handcream in dispensers on the wall which is much less likely to irritate their overwashed hands.

WickedlyPetite · 29/03/2020 21:08

I posted about these earlier on another thread - the Tropic and Body Shop vultures wanting people to buy hand cream off them to donate to the NHS.

I quite enjoyed watching one of them on a local Facebook group get her arsed handed to her last night.

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 29/03/2020 21:17

That's disgusting too.
I know MLM kind of brainwashes people, but if this is not the point when they snap out of and realise what disgusting thing they are doing at the moment, I don't think there is any hope for them.

I’ve seen the Body Shop handcream one, we either all know the same person or it’s a tactic passed between them.

StealthPolarBear · 29/03/2020 21:27

Yes I saw the body shop one, very cheeky

IgnoranceIsStrength · 29/03/2020 21:29

Yep body shop one by me too. Vultures. She wanted £5 for a £4.40 handcream to donate

StealthPolarBear · 29/03/2020 21:31

And that £4.40 or whatever will have included profit

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 29/03/2020 21:32

I see predominantly the diarhhoea coffee huns hiring.
Also. Well. Direct discrimination with their "I am looking for ladies to join my team and make people shit themselves"
Maybe that could work with fb🤔 To get rid of them

Bluewavescrashing · 29/03/2020 21:32

Certain Forever Living 'business owners' are asking their friends to crowd fund overpriced care packs (soap, lotion etc). They have the cheek to say they are donating the products when actually

  1. Their friends are paying for them. Give the products for free if you're so selfless!
  2. Any stock purchased through them gives them points (case credits) which earns them money.

They are literally using misery, fear and illness for their own profit.

WickedlyPetite · 29/03/2020 21:34

All the body shop hand creams are the shitty Christmas scented ones that they couldn't flog in December.

1Morewineplease · 29/03/2020 21:38

Just to derail a bit.. what is this diarrhoea coffee ? Is this exclusive to mlms? What’s wrong with it?

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 29/03/2020 21:46

It's a super healthy and weight loss coffee being flogged around.

OP posts:
radioband · 29/03/2020 21:51

I saw the body shop one and had exactly the same thoughts. It's so cheeky, just donate them yourselves instead of expecting people to pay for them, making a profit and taking all the glory!

AddressLabel · 29/03/2020 21:55

genuine question, but what the hell is an MLM hun?!

mumwon · 29/03/2020 21:56

what worries me is that there seems to be a lot of alternative practitioners who are advising people on using wafting burnt herbs & silver round rooms to clean them of virus & sprouting the term big pharma -

BigChocFrenzy · 29/03/2020 21:58

FUCK OFF, all MLMs

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 29/03/2020 22:00

@AddressLabel it's the MLM peddlers. They often use "hun" so they are called MLM huns.
Examples
"Pm me hun"
"Gawjus hun"
"You are just jealous that I am a #bossbabe. Get over it hun"

OP posts:
OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 29/03/2020 22:04

Has anyone seen proof of that "donated hand creams"?

OP posts:
Jupiters · 29/03/2020 22:05

I've seen a Tropics seller doing the hand cream for NHS routine, so I guess it's a marketing tactic they are all using.

BlythesEyes · 29/03/2020 22:15

Omg...I read one of these posts from a friend earlier on and didn't twig at all! No mention of what brand or cost, just that she was placing an order and would anyone like to donate to the cost of some for local hospitals in need.
She can bugger right off! Angry

StealthPolarBear · 29/03/2020 23:06

I've seen a few people making and selling masks as presumably a fashion item!

1Morewineplease · 29/03/2020 23:12

Thanks @OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow
Had no idea it was such a thing!
