At the moment there isn’t a set time

dementedpixie · 29/03/2020 18:01

There is no limit

Duckingell · 29/03/2020 18:02

No limit. Just use common sense and don't stay out all day I guess.

FlamingoAndJohn · 29/03/2020 18:03

No time limit.

I refer you to this tweet.

Where did you get that there was a time limit from?

PinkiOcelot · 29/03/2020 18:18

I’ve just watched the news and a Dr on there said 30 minutes to an hour. (BBC news).

Whitegrapeandblackberry · 29/03/2020 18:21

Maybe its from this (found on bbc):

What are the rules on exercise?

People are allowed to take one form of exercise a day. The rules say:

  • Maintain asocial distance of more than 2m (6ft)from other people wherever you go
  • "Stay local" and use open spacesnear home for exercise, where possible
  • Rules on social distancing and gatherings rule out many team sports
  • No mention is given to how long you can exercise for

But the Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove has advised: "I would have thought for most people a walk of up to an hour, a run of 30 minutes or a cycle ride of between that, depending on their level of fitness, is appropriate."

(Its his opinion rather than an actual limit)

mencken · 29/03/2020 18:53

the suggested (and it is just suggested) time limit is because unfortunately the virus doesn't only take out the stupid. It is to stop the 'we're going to the seaside to exercise' brigade.
