To have stopped dp babysitting?

His daughter is often short of money and she has a small job for an elderly lady who pays her to provide cleaning and personal care 3 times a week. The other 4 days someone else does this.

Her partner is having to go to work next week and she asked dp to go round and babysit her 4 year old ds who is asthmatic. I have told him absolutely not. This is a bloody lockdown we are in and the lady will need to either see if the other carer can do this or will need to speak with social services to pay for a profressional temporary care package.

They said it's supporting an older person which I have said isn't the problem. It's the mixing households with the babysitting that is, and especially as her ds needs inhalers too. I am not missing something am I? It's an absolute no surely?

YANBU. The rules are there for this very reason. People like her is what will make us go into a more serious lockdown. 🤦🏻‍♀️

100% no. My friends daughter is putting her under pressure to babysit too so she can have a break. I despair
