Self isolation provides us with the opportunity to get rid of this small problem so prevalent in all our schools - so please, check your children’s hair, let everyone do a thorough nit comb - we could break this cycle as well.

On Monday, first day of lockdown, I realised mine had nits. First world problem, but I did have a, “FML, this too?” sigh!

Stayawayfromitsmouth · 29/03/2020 10:58

I had this thought too. Also worms and any other easily solved parasites.
But you know the people who let their kids go to school with constant nits wont be reading this and wont care sadly.

@Stayawayfromitsmouth i had the same thought.
Hopefully people will remember how quickly nits spread and then realise that it is no different for CV

I’m amazed DD hasn’t had them yet, she’s 8. I do check her regularly, and she doesn’t have her hair washed too often 👍🏻

What if we don't have a nit comb?! Are they essential?!

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 29/03/2020 17:07

It wont solve the problem.

The parents who are checking will continue to do so, the parents who dont bother still won't, and when they all go back to school the kids who dont get checked will reinfect everyone again.
