To not understand the mentality of some people....

I know I'm probably being unreasonable and it's not really any of my business if people want to put their lives at risk. Just cabin fever has got to me this morning!!

The state I'm in (in Aus) have decided to close schools from Monday to non working parents. All good. Have kept mine at home all this week anyway due to taking the covid-19 virus seriously, and we have been self isolating. It's been bliss being in a newborn bubble with the new baby and having my older kids home to enjoy and do home learning with.
Husband is still working (safely) and is also helping elderly neighbours with grocery shopping (leaving it on their doorsteps for a contactless drop off). When he does drop food off to some, they try to come out, try to shake his hand, get a bit offended when he refuses.... He's even dropped food off to one woman "who couldn't get out as has underling health problems" and turned up to find she was hosting an afternoon tea.
I made my first voyage out this morning after an entire week just to get some essentials from supermarket (husband working away for a few days) and the shop was just full of older folk chatting in the aisles not keeping any distance. When I said this to one of the couples I knew they just laughed and said they're going to die of something anyway.

Meh, that's your call.

Then I get back and have a quick look on facebook and there's another lady I know (late 60's) who had posted on our community page that she desperately needs her nails infilled! Just whyyyyyy!!!!

Whinge over, just needed to get that out!

Because they are stupid. Hopefully they only take themselves and each other out.

It's because it's early in the process. It's a big change for people to take on board. Also if people haven't seen the problems at the coal face and are just in a happy little state of ignorance or inexperience, It's hard to take it seriously.
Give it a bit longer for everyone to be better informed and things will change

Maybe Aus are only just getting cases and are a week or so behind Europe? No one took it seriously here 2 weeks ago, but things are slowly tightening up and lots more people are becoming concerned aka hysterical in some cases! Still a good few dickheads around though.
