To hope some celebs might video themselves doing their own cleaning?

We have a cleaner once a fortnight, and it just struck me I'll now need to tell her we don't need her for a while. I'm still earning, and want her to come back, so will still pay her, but obviously that means I'll be doing a lot more cleaning myself for a while (hopefully with some help from the rest of the family).
But it made me wonder if a lot of celebs are doing the same thing ... maybe instead of posting more "how to stay fit/happy" videos they could show us their less glamorous side and some solidarity to boot. 😁

Follow Stacey soloman.

gratooo · 27/03/2020 18:37

I guess even Boris J will be doing his own cleaning now his Downing St flat has been sealed off from the rest of the household. Smile

Maybe it'll take them a while to realise things need to be cleaned.

Housewife2010 · 27/03/2020 18:46

Catherine Zeta Jones has her housekeeper staying with her family in lockdown - I watched an Instagram live with her a couple of nights ago.

JJPC · 27/03/2020 18:47

I imagine Boris will expect his pregnant fiancée to do all the cleaning. He strikes me as the type!

Didntwanttochangemyname · 27/03/2020 20:10

I can't think of anything less interesting than watching celebrities doing their housework.

WorraLiberty · 27/03/2020 20:36

I agree Didntwanttochangemyname

Noodlenosefraggle · 27/03/2020 20:46

JJPC Prick though he is, she is staying at her home and he's moved into No11 so they are isolating separately.
Why would celebs want to show themselves cleaning? Obviously they dont do their own cleaning. Its tedious enough doing your own cleaning, never mind watching someone else do it!

gratooo · 27/03/2020 20:56

I wonder if Prince Charles has ever been taught how to clean a toilet or change a duvet cover? Hmm

Leaannb · 27/03/2020 20:57

Why would they have to clean? I'm not a celebrity and my cleaner is still coming 3 daus a week

doodleygirl · 27/03/2020 20:59

Why? Who gives a fuck what celebrities do?

Housewife2010 · 27/03/2020 21:02

Joan Collins & Percy are doing their own housework. She must have read your post because she's just posted a photo of them hard at work on her Instagram!

Frankiecandle · 27/03/2020 21:05

Fucking hell most of us do our own cleaning, we don't need slebs to show us how much they have lowered themselves to use a fucking mop.

Really @Leaannb? Do you consider her work to be essential?

Stacey Solomon is my favourite person on Instagram, I adore her. Seeing her face every day on her stories makes me happy. My house will never be as clean and tidy as hers though!

@Leaannb are you in the UK? Cause you know it’s against the rules to have visitors in your home right now? That includes cleaners

gratooo · 27/03/2020 21:11

@Frankiecandle I was being tongue-in-cheek. Grin

But I do wonder how many of them are still expecting their cleaners to report to work!

Willow2017 · 27/03/2020 21:11

Crikey i hate doing my own cleaning last thing i want to do is to watch someone doing theirs!

Are people really that bored they would watch that?

Willow2017 · 27/03/2020 21:15

According to another thread on here if you cant work from home then you have to go to work else, including cleaners!

But only if the work is essential, which it isn't. As an employer you have a moral obligation to keep your employee safe and reduce the spread of the virus by cutting down on non-essential mixing between households.

Well there is now another thread saying the same thing 😀

Leanne b - I assume that's a joke
