MMR booster

Hi, my 3.5 year old is due her booster for MMR next week, my friend said I am crazy to let her have an injection with the virus at the moment.

I am of the mind that the NHS are already at full capacity and is safest to offer the extra protection.

Just wondered general opinions in case there is something I've not considered.

Speak to your GP surgery. They will be best equipped to answer

I’d follow the guidance of your local family doctor. I’m in a similar boat (albeit in Canada). I called ahead of my DS’s shots next week to ask what the clinic preferred - deferring or going ahead with the appointment - and my GP’s preference was to keep the appointment, but to only have one parent present to best practice social distancing. Sounded fair to me.

GP said to keep the appointment!

I would trust GP's opinion then
