To ask for top tips for my tumble drier?

Due to a washing system error, we appear to have managed to tumble-dry a reasonably sized (toddler) shit for an extended period of time. Any tips on how to get rid of the stomach churning stench? It has been scrubbed with multi-surface cleaner, and washing up liquid. All visible offending particles have been removed. All tips welcome.

My grandson popped a full nappy in a drier full of clothes. I think they had to take out all the filters, movable washable parts. Then drier sheets or disinfectantt wipes

OMG, I thought that was a typo about a damaged top until I read all your post. Sad

If it really is ruined, would it be worth claiming as accidental damage on your house insurance (if it is a more expensive tumble dryer and you have this cover without a scary excess)? It might give the insurance company a candidate for the most unusual claim of the year, if nothing else.

Take out the filters wash them in washing up liquid clean the drum again with washing up liquid and a scoosh of white vinegar if you have it leave the door openened to air out.

Hot turd. Yum!

I'd wash every part (that could be washed) with zoflora. Splash a load of zoflora on a wet towel and bung it in to dry.

Your going to spend weeks sniffing clothes convinced you can smell poo.

I feel your pain.

flakebaby · 27/03/2020 12:47

Thanks all. House currently smelling of white wine vinegar and zoflora. Time will tell 😂

Splash a load of zoflora on a wet towel and bung it in to dry.

Be very careful. Zoflora is flammable isn't it?
