To think everyone should just go back to work?

All the Corona threads (recte: all the MN threads) are clogged up with interfering busybodies trying to police everyone else's sodding walks.

AIBU to think they probably spend their working lives policing the minutiae of everyone else's lives, and could do something more productive with their unexpected time at home instead?

What?

Classic Dom Grin

Your title is a bit misleading to what you've actually posted , but I don't think people should all go back to work no ..

forkfun · 26/03/2020 20:01

Listen to this. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p087n42r

PinkiOcelot · 26/03/2020 20:03

No not really.

bellinisurge · 26/03/2020 20:03

Or people are looking for moral support in an odd situation and can't express themselves at home. Just a thought.

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 26/03/2020 20:04

Ironic

PestyMachtubernahme · 26/03/2020 20:04

By the way, some of us never stopped working.

If you are feeling guilty, have you tried volunteering?

Sparklingbrook · 26/03/2020 20:06

Every single thought about CV has to be a new thread. Sad

Devlesko · 26/03/2020 20:06

Wish I could but we've lost everything.
All the venues we work have been closed, and not getting the calls for next year either.

If policing idiots makes fewer cases then it's a good thing, surely.

Huh? Your title doesn't match the post.

Sux2buthen · 26/03/2020 20:10

I have to and I'm quite terrified of bringing it home. So no

CuppaZa · 26/03/2020 20:12

Oh the irony

Cheesepleas3 · 26/03/2020 20:43

@PestyMachtubernahme
To be fair it's many of the same usernames I've saw endlessly posting on almost every thread going. I think it's fair to presume if they're supposed to be working, they really aren't getting much work done Grin

cantata · 26/03/2020 20:49

Apologies - the thread title perhaps doesn't entirely match the post. Guilty as charged.

bellinisurge (sorry to pick on you): my thoughts are that I was suicidal. I pulled myself back from a very bad situation not least due to regular, RL, contact with my lovely friends. None of whom I can now see, because we don't live together and I am sticking to the 'stay at home' guidelines. I don't live with my partner, either, so can't see him.

So while I'm sticking to this shitty stuff, I'm not going to tell other people that they can't go for a second walk in a field 100 miles from anywhere in Scotland, where they might encounter a dog every nine months.

Lots of posters, however, are doing precisely this. It makes me so sad that MN has suddenly turned into East Germany (yes, I do have personal and painful experience of East Germany), and people are spying on and denouncing their friends and neighbours.

Obviously, there are some prats around who are trying to have parties regardless. However, most people are pretty sensible, and don't need to be told to (in capitals) STAY THE FUCK AT HOME, and asked WHAT BIT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?

I just wish all those people would go back to work and stop bothering everyone else.

I also think a huge number of us have had Covid and could go back to work anyway, but that's a different story.

And, yes, I have volunteered (my own job has been rendered non-existent due to Corona. So we may soon be homeless. Lovely).
