OK so I'm still working because I work on an NHS ward, it's tough work, I work long shifts, day and night and it's constantly busy and so very loud and noisy. When I come home and have a day off I then have to suffer the constant drilling, sawing, hammering and thumping from the flat upstairs. I mean there are thick walls between houses here but the floor/ceiling is so thin I can hear them fart. They clearly don't have insulated carpet up there, no carpet at all in fact.
The upstairs flat hasn't been lived in for 2 years, it's gone from one owner to another who have both renovated. It was, for a short while a doss/party house for them at weekends, but now they've decided to heavily renovate again.
The drilling is so loud it feels like they are drilling into my skull. Iv turned my music up, I wear headphones but this doesn't help.
No peace at work no peace at home and now with this Coronavirus lockdown, no peace anywhere else, can't even go visit my folks 😢. Them upstairs don't seem to be on lock down at all, spreading their foul germs everywhere 😡 They do not appear to have any consideration for their neighbours either. I can't even tell you about the mess they left in both of my gardens and the damage to a power cable from a nearby telegraph pole, the cable which is now swinging into my garden, the garden that I'd worked so hard on during the summer to get it looking nice.
With the added difficulties right now it is harder to avoid, I have booked weekends away before just to get some peace however this is no longer possible.
Anyway recently I've noticed cracks everywhere in the plaster in my walls and just discovered one great big one the length of my living room ceiling. I believe all this is caused by the vibrations from their renovations or maybe I'm just going mad?? 😂 😭 Help!
I rent the flat and have informed my landlord, feel like I'm constantly moaning about them with the mess and everything else. I understand they have the right to renovate but everyday? weekends? Sunday too!?
I dunno what to do anymore, I really love this flat but I really wanna move now and I feel so angry all the time. I don't think I have any rights to stop them so I suppose this was just a rant really to try and alleviate some stress.
Thanks for listening 👍

Looks like they shouldn't drill or hammer on a sunday at all unless they have a special permit which I doubt they do. I rarely get a sunday off but good to know 👍.
Now if I was council I might wanna put some temporary restrictions in as many people are stuck at home during the week right now but who am I?
