AIBU re mailing lists (Saint & Sofia I'm looking at you!)

Does anyone feel like they are constantly harassed by certain online retailers? I seem to get multiple emails a day from the likes of Sunuva and Saint & Sofia. I hesitate to post this for fear of encouraging traffic to their websites but it is ridiculous how many emails they send and their unsubscribe links don't work. So much for GDPR!

I’ve had major issues attempting to stop paper catalogues from V upmarket retailers too. They just ignore requests completely!

I have finally found success in returning any unwanted catalogues or brochures by not opening them, crossing out my address and marking “Return to sender - remove from database”.

It does take 2 or 3 returns but we now have hardly any bumf through the post.

Somehow I’ve got into the mailing list for Trump’s supporters: NRCC, NRSC, House Conservatives... They have a whole new level of relentless13 today so far. I’ve tried unsubscribe to no avail.

It's ridiculous. Makes me far less likely to buy from them.
