AIBU to think my BIL is a giant cockwomble?

My sister has just informed me that BIL (who owns a chain of Indian takeaways that are still currently open and he is working in) is off on a 2 hour drive to a London airport to pick up his friend's daughter. AIBU to think he is putting his customers at risk. Both he and my sister have pretty much been ignoring the self isolating rules, my sister had a friend round for a coffee today.

Is the daughter being repatriated? I don't see what else, they can do. If the DD gets London transport, then they will be more at risk.

So it’s not even his daughter ? It’s a friends daughter . Yes he is a complete cockwomble! Don’t let him or his family anywhere near your family Angry

However, i don't know why you are targeting your BIL, your Sister is as bad.

If you order a takeaway, it's the chance that you take.

It's a friends daughter. Apparently he's just doing him a favour...

I agree, sister is also being a cockwomble.

But how would the DD get home, if he didn't give the lift and are they mixing with them anyway?

If so, there's not much more risk from the lift.

Her father would have to pick her up, who she will be isolating him. Sorry, I just think it's irresponsible of BIL when he's currently working in a takeaway.

He is working in a restaurant which is presumably delivering take away food? Yet he has a totally cavalier attitude to social isolation? What are the hygiene practices like in his chain of takeaways? I hope his customers realise the utter contempt he displays towards their health....

I think you’re being a bit unreasonable. If the family is isolating, it makes sense for your BIL to pick up the kid from the airport to save the family exposing itself to several hundred people at the airport.
