I got told I was aggressive in an email before and I just so whole heartedly disagree
I wrote a response and then didn't send it because I didn't want to get in trouble
I love mumsnet and I have been busier the last month with my eldest off nursery but I would be so sad to be banned or asked to leave
I got the email maybe 2 months ago and it affected me more then I think

I've almost been banned for "misgendering" a violent male paedophile rapist.

Ho-hum.

It’s just a forum on the Internet. It doesn’t really matter

Isadora2007 · 25/03/2020 14:53

I was told I had two accounts. I didn’t but my older daughter had her own account and we were on the same thread unbeknownst to each other. So it looked dodgy and we got locked out.

NoMorePoliticsPlease · 25/03/2020 14:53

I got deleted for saying someone wanted shooting, pretty standard expression in my day

Yogawoogie · 25/03/2020 14:54

Not by MNHQ but by another poster.

And yes I agreed with her.

Years ago.... I was being a dick but it took a stranger telling me before I realised. I did apologise with my tail between my legs.

This is likely to disappear op

LuluBellaBlue · 25/03/2020 14:56

They deleted a thread I started as too many people thought it was a troll and made it up.
I showed I was a long time user and emails to prove my AIBU story, yet they still wouldn’t let the thread stay.
It was about shocking children’s care home Workers and social services.
I feel it would have been beneficial for people but hey ho!

Frothybothie · 25/03/2020 14:56

As with any privately run social meda groups we are at the mercy of a group with their own opinions and prejudices. There is also a fear of someone saying something that gets blasted on the front of a newspaper to prove a point ...

ShirleyPhallus · 25/03/2020 14:57

I got told off twice:

  • Once for “troll hunting” but I think they got the wrong poster as i really hadnt been, they didn’t respond to my email
  • Once because I said that estate agents went to some special school for how to get away with lying, and all those I’d met were twats. Someone from MNHQ emailed to say that I’d upset people, had reports about my comment so they deleted it even though she agreed with me Grin
wherethecloudsaregoing · 25/03/2020 14:57

You could always post it on reddit

cultkid · 25/03/2020 14:58

I don't know why I was so affected! I was SO hurt
It's a relief to hear I am not the only one

OP posts:
cultkid · 25/03/2020 14:58

I like mumsnet though
Is reddit not a bit mean?

OP posts:
Davros · 25/03/2020 14:58

I had a post deleted for saying ODFOD which I thought was standard MNese. Maybe it got banned when I wasn't looking. I meant it though heh heh

DaanSaaf · 25/03/2020 14:59

I was told off and deleted for calling someone a twat. In my defence, they were a twat.

cultkid · 25/03/2020 15:01

I got told my posts were aggressive but they 100% aren't!! It really upset me

OP posts:
Merename · 25/03/2020 15:06

What did you say? Aggressive is subjective I suppose, what’s aggressive to someone else may not be to you. I feel I see a lot of aggression on mumsnet, I’m sure I’d be upset to be accused of it too.

cultkid · 25/03/2020 15:06

I think I said something about someone being outrageous but I don't think I was aggressive
Ill go look for the email

OP posts:
cultkid · 25/03/2020 15:08

I wrote freak
It was mean but someone was being outrageous but the rest of my posts are never aggressive
I do love MN

Reddit is a far nicer community than mumsnet. There are obviously some subreddits where people are cunts, but they’re easy to avoid. For the most part it is a hundred times more supportive, tolerant and good-natured than mumsnet (where people pile on for the smallest thing, and sneering and condescension is rife)

cultkid · 25/03/2020 15:11

Oh really? I'll look into it
Forums are a saving grace
I've Been periodically housebound over the years and I am so grateful for the company

WelcomeToTheAssEatery · 25/03/2020 15:12

Oh OP I wouldn't worry about it. The impression I get is that the peeps at MNHQ are a bit pearl clutchy. Don't let it hurt you x

WelcomeToTheAssEatery · 25/03/2020 15:13

I also second Reddit is a MUCH nicer and more supportive platform!! People on here are right dicks in my experience. Any excuse to pile on, people like to make snap judgements about your character from one small most Confused

WelcomeToTheAssEatery · 25/03/2020 15:13

POST not most! You get the jist ;)

PurpleBlueAnemone · 25/03/2020 15:14

I've been deleted for what I thought was a fair enough comment/question.
It made me feel like Big Brother was watching me.
How some folk who frequently get deleted and those who have been banned cope I don't know. Its hard to have a thick skin even ont'internet.

Nmagain · 25/03/2020 15:15

I got one in a last name change for being aggressive. Which is a joke as it’s nothing that others haven’t said to me many a time and the post still stood.
