AIBU to think that some people are right self absorbed ignorant twats with their stereo turned up loud as they work on their car outside - with maximum bass?

I mean, honestly! We live in a row of terraced houses, everyone is stuck at home, WFH, a lot of them. We know that there are people who are stuck at home sick and miserable.

How inconsiderate. Second time in three days. Nice guy, just obviously bloody clueless, and I don't want to start neighbourhood wars. . .

We had this yesterday. Drove me mental

If he's a nice guy why can't you ask him to turn it down? Why would it start neighbourhood wars?

mbosnz · 25/03/2020 11:09

I think I'd rather suck it up, because I don't know him at all well, so he seems a nice guy, but particularly in light of the rather tense situation we're all in, people are behaving a bit irrationally and unpredictably at the moment, and don't want to inadvertently create a situation! (I've had that happen before, not nice. . .)

My neighbour does this. Selfish tosser.

Jupiters · 25/03/2020 21:20

My neighbours have been blasting out their stereo this afternoon. Normally we go out when they put their music on, but not an option at the moment clearly. Can't believe how some people can't seem to realise how they affect others.

Bellad19 · 26/03/2020 09:23

We’ve had exactly the same here! Yesterday it started before 9am! Sometimes happens at 8/9 at night which isn’t late but when the children are asleep it’s annoying!

Cunninglittlevixen · 26/03/2020 09:44

Ask him to turn it down

mbosnz · 26/03/2020 09:52

I think his Mum might have been on Mumsnet. . .Grin

It got turned down, without me needing to ask him to do so, shortly after this, lol.

Or it could have been another neighbour that I saw speaking with him. . .

I've just had this. Loud music blaring out until she took a phone call which involved shouting then music turned back up. I've closed my window now. Ugh
