Shopping delivery slots

Hi, AIBU to think there should be some way to prove how much I desperately need an online delivery slot?

Every single week for over 3 years we have used click and collect or home delivery with Asda but now we can't get any whatsoever

I'm currently in the 14 day lockdown whilst looking after my asd dd and 2 other dc.
My husband is having a massive mental breakdown and suffering from agoraphobia.
We have no friends or family to help as they're either isolating or in vulnerable lockdown so we are stuck for food.
Husband has been out once this week because we were desperate and had no other choice and he literally collapsed through the door in a panic attack I nearly had to phone an ambulance for him.

I really need a slot and I can't see any other way to solve this problem.

Try contacting your MP. Isn't the government meant to be trying to sort out food parcels for people in similar situations.

Have you downloaded the Nextdoor neighbourhood app? Sign up and post what you’ve posted here and you should get some help. Good luck.

Go to the supermarket yourself and leave the DCs in the care of your DH.?

Join a neighbourhood website called Nextdoor.com. My area on there is compiling lists of volunteers who are willing to shop etc. I’m sure if you post about your situation
Someone from your area will help you.

Why could your husband go but not you?

My local Aldi was full to the brim today (typically I ran out of milk and came on my period unexpectedly last night) so I had to pop over. I also got bread and milk got a neighbour I know is isolating..

Post on Facebook? Of what do you have in? It's probs more than you think! We could help you with recipe suggestions?

OP it's 2:30 am and I've just logged onto Asda and got a slot for next Tuesday. I'll be able to last until then. You should try.

I set my alarm for 2.30 to try and book an Ocado slot. Nothing available at all.

Every day i use my local co-op to shop for vulnerable people in our village and i have done this for years but now this virus is here i can't even go to the shop myself as i am high risk. I called my local co-op where the staff know me and not only are they delivering my shopping now they are also delivering to the people i usually shop for. They have been an absolute God send so maybe try and contact a smaller local shop. Everyone seems willing to help out however they can. Good luck OP i know how stressful this can be. Unfortunately the bigger shops don't value your repeated custom
