To leave my birthday cards up till I next dust?

Nope, not unreasonable. Birthday cards hide the dust and therefore can be extremely useful...just make sure you don't invite anyone round or they'll think you're a bit sad and have no self esteem

nah, my dad keeps balloons up all year round

I normally leave birthday cards up for about 3 weeks.

YABU, get cleaning , don't you care about the dust!!! Cards should stay up for a week at most!

Mine but it was weeks ago.

In july and Aug in my house, we have a kind of rolling thing going on, on my fireplace...erm thingy. As the birthdays kind of roll into one another....so that means...its not been dusted on there for at least since.....June!
