Thought last night's message by the PM was fairly clear.

The day's updates from the government have just added more confusion and I now don't see how we're in a materially different place than we were at this time yesterday.

Work from home if you can but if not then go to work seems to be the message.

It just shows how interconnected our economy is. But agree employers shouldn't be looking for loopholes!

@Hercwasonaroll they'd already done their exercise - I saw them walking round our roads earlier! A middle aged, fit couple. If they needed to go out for food, only one should have gone.

YangShanPo that’s not what’s being said though. Only essential jobs need the workers to go in. If it’s not essential then stay home, regardless of what your employer says.

@Teddypops you don't look like an idiot at all, you are taking things seriously and making sacrifices to save lives.

Michael Gove has said people can go to their allotments, as long as they observe the social distances. Their are so many exceptions now we might as well not bother!

How do you square this circle? NHS says "Stay home, save lives" as in Belfast critical care workers, with "if you cannot work from home, , you must go into work" Mat Hancock.

I can do a lot of things, but I couldn't stay at home and go to work. If I wasn't retired, if go with Belfast.

Easy for me to say, I know.

If they needed to go out for food, only one should have gone

Dh and i are going out on Friday

He is picking up the click and collect while i go in the shop to pick up a variation on whats missing

Thought that it would be quicker and that one person wouldn’t be out so long

Or would it be better for one person to be out longer...we won’t be in the shop at the same time

I dunno

Lots of local businesses closed to the public but still expecting staff in here. Non-essential jobs.
