Because this happened to me yesterday. And I saw a post on Linkedin a few days prior where it had happened to someone else too. This is what happened to me;

I walked up the road on my own to go to my sons' house 5 mins away (they live with their dad, older child has cerebral palsy and needs care, I spend the days with them). Live in a not rough neighbourhood (not posh, but okay). A group of about 7 men and women in their early 20’s, carrying a speaker playing loud Grime walking towards me. Something a bit menacing about them, didn't move over a bit like you'd normally expect so I had to walk on edge of pavement. I thought I was just being paranoid because everything's so weird right now, but as I walked passed them one of the young men deliberately coughed towards me to the amusement of his friends.

I do hope this is not becoming a thing.

Just seen this on the BBC (www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-52044452 entry at 1354)

*Today Max Hill QC, the Director of Public Prosecutions for England and Wales, ... warned that anyone who deliberately coughs at police, NHS staff or shop workers who are keeping the nation going will face the full force of the law.

That's because coughing at anyone at all - including the public - in such circumstances is assault. The maximum sentence for common assault is six months in jail - and up to two years for attacking an emergency worker carrying out their duties.*

Don't expect to see any convictions for this but still.

this idiot has got the virus after licking a toilet seat.

Frankly after licking a toilet seat, he’s lucky he only got the bloody virus and not some else on top

Oh dear. And I’ve heard American hospital bills are so, so expensive at this time of year too 😏

maddening · 26/03/2020 21:25

Why are the only making it a crime to cough on key workers?

ZombieFan · 26/03/2020 21:32

The couple were approached by three people in Hitchin, one of whom is said to have coughed in their faces

You are not allowed to mention or report what really happened at this incident (and subsequently). MSM and social media have all shut down free speech about things like this. The police are still on the side of the perpetrators for fear of being accused of being racist.

Their names and faces should go on a register for all to see. They make a public threat, the public need to know

"that’s the snowflake generation right there"

Most of the junior doctors urging themselves in harm’s way day after day to treat people are from the so-called “snowflake generation”.

14 year old in Manchester has been charged today. Shouted that he had Coronavirus before coughing in a woman’s face. No doubt about his intentions, he’ll be convicted, deservedly.

A few more sentences just may bring an end to this evil behaviour.
