To be disgusted by sports direct owner

..trying to claim they are an essential service when really all he wanted to do was profiteer?? And he already treats zero hours contract staff appallingly.

I'm not normally a Michael Gove fan but glad he put him back in his box!

I hope as many people as can, boycott his stores after this is over and the world starts turning again. He is an appalling human being.

They're closing now

After I heard about some of the practices for employees at his stores and warehouses, nothing surprises me about this scumbag anymore.

Join the queue to be disgusted at Mike Ashley (keeping a safe distance apart, obviously!) Many people were disgusted at him long before this latest example of his wilful stupidity.

Smyths Toys staff have been told it’s business as usual. Assuming they fall under ‘bicycle store’ as they sell kids bikes and so can stay open. Same as Mike Ashley saying about his selling exercise gear. My partner has received no communication from above in Smyths and just told today they will be open at 10. Disgusting. So glad the sports direct staff will finally get to be home and safe!

When asked about this Rebecca Long-Bailey said Mike Ashley needed to think hard about his decision to keep his stores open.

I wonder if there is somewhere to report that to as they shouldn't be open

After this is over we will remember who and which companies were willing to risk the health and lives of others, even their own employees, for their own selfish convenience and profit - I am talking about you Sports Direct, Smyths and Wetherspoons among others. I hope you all go out of business when this is over, and enough people boycott you.

Report stores that continue to trade to trading standards in your area, they will be handing out fines.

Sports Direct, Smyths and Wetherspoons would not decimate the high street.

I definitely going to boycott a few places when this is over.

Don’t really go there much but it’s now on my boycott list along with cuntyspoons

Seemed like they were as staff called in today to clean store, proper shut down etc but now been told they will be opening to customers as usual by management.

Added to my list of where we will never shop again.

I am perpetually disgusted by the owners of sports direct, and this didn't surprise me one little bit.
