To think MNHQ should inform me why my thread has been deleted?

Perfectly genuine thread posted last night about my 7 year old daughter.
Received good advice.
Message on the post this morning saying it has been deleted while they "look behind the scenes.."

No messages or emails from MNHQ.

I think you're displacing some feelings here to be honest OP.
It's a concern, I understand. I didnt see your post, but Dd seemed to have a similar sort of issue at the same age. She didnt actually start her period until she was 10.
Please try not to worry.

But maybe now is a great time to start explaining that changes will happen in her body, as shes going to be confused. They dont learn about puberty until a bit later at school.
When DD started going through puberty I used it as an opportunity to explain the importance of good hygiene because the smell of BO otherwise. DD and I went shopping for lots of different deodorants and body sprays and we got a "period" bag for her school bag.
Not really doable right now and we were really over prepared but it prepared her, and she felt supported.

A) you deactivate your own account

B) This is what mumsnet is good at- taking down any threads that undesirable people basically get off on.

C) it’s not something against you, it’s stopping someone enjoying the thought of what you have said

@Bazoo23

Why on earth are you going to deactivate your own account? Confused

And why are you taking this all so personally?

Threads get deleted all the time, especially when they contain the kind of subject matter YOUR thread had. Hmm

You do know also right, that this thread will be deleted soon? I haven't reported it, but someone will do.

PeterPanGoesWrong · 24/03/2020 09:26

@Bazoo23, this is not an airport. You do not need to announce your departure!

heartsonacake · 24/03/2020 09:30

You can ask MNHQ to remove the thread and your account if you want, but it won’t make any difference.

Everything you put out on the internet is permanent. It may become well hidden, but it will never completely disappear.

What an amazingly OTT flounce.

Don’t worry so much OP. Shit happens. The staff in MN are human too and we all make mistakes. Perhaps it was an error on their part. So rather than over react and delete your account just stay calm, stay at home, and carry on like the rest of us. We have bigger things to worry about than a misunderstanding over a thread.
