Well, Tesco website has now crashed. Not optimistic that any planned orders will be honoured.
What about anyone else?

It's not down, they're just limiting it while it's understandably incredibly busy. It says that quite clearly on the message.

"Down" means you can't access the website at all (including error messages from the company). Tomorrow it'll be back to normal and actually I've already got into my account in the last hour, although couldn't check out.

It's so frustrating, isn't it? I am trying to give them my money...

I have been having Tesco food deliveries weekly for about 15 years but this last month I've only been able to book 2 deliveries. And tonight when I tried to book one for mid April - there's nothing. As in, the dates didn't go beyond 12th April. Everything from today to 12th April is booked up and you cannot book after that.

So much for using food delivery services...

Asda won’t let me look at delivery slots on the website and the app has completely crashed. It’s understandable given the speeches from the government

lachy · 23/03/2020 22:10

I tried to log on to add something to my order for next week. I suspect that Boris's speech may have increased traffic to the website, it'll be back to normal tomorrow.

MythicalBiologicalFennel · 23/03/2020 22:11

welcome it took me 30 minutes of refreshing a "bad gateway" page to get to the delivery section.

Vaki · 23/03/2020 22:12

It's down because so many people are trying to use it. It's not the supermarkets fault, they can't magic trucks and drivers out there arses. Yes it's annoying but they will honour deliveries booked but if you don't need your delivery and are capable of going shopping, then please do. Do remeber that these workers will be going out there and exposing themselves to the virus

DeadbeatDescendant · 23/03/2020 22:12

I think ASDA have temporarily disabled the app... their website has crashed for everyone at payment stage. I’ve had an order for tomorrow booked for a while but can’t check out the amends this evening. Hope they’ll fix it before the 11pm cut off...

Morrison's are doing food boxes £35 delivered. You don't get to choose what's in the boxes but it's meant to be enough for 2 adults for a week.

Dishwashersaurous · 23/03/2020 22:41

All orders will be delivered. You just can’t amend it

PickAChew · 23/03/2020 22:44

Glad I filled my fridge this morning. Suspect a few more days of renewed chaos ahead.

Redglitter · 23/03/2020 22:49

I can get into the Tesco app albeit its slow. It's also letting me amend my order

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 24/03/2020 14:33

Dh was up at sparrowfart and got onto the Tesco site at 5.30am, so he woke me up, and we sorted out the order for this weekend.

I still can’t get onto the site on my iPad- I don’t know if that is a problem with apple or the iPad or at Tesco’s end. I got really anxious last night, when we couldn’t get onto the site, and slept really badly. Whenever I did manage to sleep, I had nightmares about trying to buy onions and carrots - I have had some odd dreams in my time, but these took the biscuit!

I am not an elderly or identified as vulnerable so I can't even look at booking slots on Sainsbury's. Whilst I get that everyone is trying to book slots, they sent an email out stating once the elderly and vulnerable had been prioritised they would be giving priority to their delivery pass holders. I was surprised but it's obviously not happening so I wish they hadn't promised it as I hoped I was sorted and didn't need to go out Sad

Spiderysummer · 24/03/2020 15:14

My mum is 82 and is a regular user of sainsburys online but she can't access them at all either.

WhatICallMyUsername · 25/03/2020 06:44

Has she tried calling them @Spiderysummer? I've just booked a slot for Friday so maybe I was just too impatient
