Light-hearted, escapist nonsense seems to be what I need right now.
And maybe some Bergerac...

House of Elliott and Lipstick On Your Collar deffo. I'm sure house of Elliott is on YouTube or similar - I watched them all recently. One of my favourite ever series - just wish they had done a wrap up season because it left us with unfinished business!

I'd also love Road to Avonlea to be repeated right now - Perfect diversionary tv. It's v expensive to buy online to stream but I will go for it if we end up in total lockdown.

Diagnosis Murder is on every week day from 9-11. Murder she wrote is on 5 USA every afternoon, and all day Saturday and Sunday !

@Arseit Both series of dinnerladies are on Sky if you have it

Fozzleyplum · 23/03/2020 04:17

I said exactly this to DH yesterday re Bergerac.

PhilCornwall1 · 23/03/2020 05:44

A load of these are on Sky endlessly, especially Only Fools, Vicar of Dibley, Keeping up Appearances and Dinnerladies.

They are all just as funny now as they were the first time around. Dinnerladies just cracks me up.

Arseit · 23/03/2020 06:38

@MargotMoon don’t have Sky but thanks for the tip!

TW2013 · 23/03/2020 06:43

Having been digging over the garden to plant it up in case this thing lasts a while I think The Good Life would be appropriate.

PhilCornwall1 · 23/03/2020 07:33

@TW2013 Watched all the episodes of that again last year, it really was brilliant.

MrsMozartMkII · 23/03/2020 07:38

Arseit you can get all of Dinnerladies on YouTube.

Mosseywossey · 23/03/2020 08:40

Hamish McBeth
The Darling Buds of May
Bob and Margaret

5foot5 · 23/03/2020 14:44

Oh yes the first one or two series of Lovejoy were great fun.
And I was very fond of Bergerac too, don't know how well that will have dated though.
