to throw this flour away

So I'm using the last of my bread flour and Yeast to make children pizza. Flour is sold out near me of any kind! So there's me Getting a bowl from under the cupboard, I pour in all my pizza ingredients and then see a dead spider and some web on the corner of bowl. I forgot to Rinse it! Will this flour be safe to eat now having contact with this dead spider. I can not afford to throw away 600g of flour and yeast when I currently can't get anymore !

Was the spider in the flour or in the bowl? If it was in the bowl, I think I'd scoop it out and use, desperate times and all that.

Remove the web and spider and carry on. It won't hurt you, bet you've eaten worse!

It'll be fine - I'd use it

Personally I'd fish the spider out and forget I'd seen it OP. It's going to be cooked. Others may not agree of course.

Probably bits of ground up spiders and bugs in the flour anyway. I'd use it.

Extra protein surely

I'd not throw that away, or even consider it, in general, let alone now there's fuck all flour in the shops. Many people have, however, viewed my take on use by dates, mould and things in food with great suspicion... I've never, ever had food poisoning though.

You're going to bake the thing at what? Gas mark 8? 9? What is that about 220 degrees? It'll be fine.

Make the spider disappear and carry on like it never existed!

Ignore the spider! I need flour we usually bake a lot but as you say, none to be found. Are these stockpilers actually using it?

Spiders will have crawled all over it in the fields and grain storage. I would just forget it ever happened!
