To ask about your celebrity encounters?

I’m anxious and overwhelmed by everything right now and I need distracting. Can I have your stories of celebrity encounters please? The more ridiculous and tenuous the better. Bonus points if you can tell me about any ludicrous diva behaviour.

I saw Lee Brennan (911), while waiting for a train. I got my dh to take a picture of us, with his permission of course.

My sister in law's Dad once saw Princess Diana at a petrol station, while he was filling up his cab.

He looked up, absent-mindedly and made fleeting eye contact with her. Then he did a massive double take to check if it was really her.
And as he looked back, she gave him a beautiful smile and he said he fell in love with her, on the spot.

My s-i-l lost her dad a couple of years ago, so telling that story is very bittersweet for me.

I was 5 months pregnant and feeling a bit down as I had to put on a maternity dress for the first time. I also was feeling awful. A school nearby was being opened by Princess Diana so I went to see her. I was standing at the entrance to the school when I heard them say here she comes. When she drove past she gave me the loveliest smile ever. It immediately made me so much better.

She must be the ultimate celebrity spot, deste ??

Although i did meet Dale Winton once, so that was a pretty good encounter!

Met Russell Brand coming home to Edinburgh from Belfast on the plane. The airport was deserted and we were the only two going through security (him with his huge entourage). He was in front of me and walked through the scanner. I was second, the scanner predictably beeped and the female security guard came over to scan me. Russell mockingly went to push her away and said loudly "I'LL DO THIS ONE!" and tried to scan me/pat me down!
I was mortified, did a pathetic "yeah....ok" and then sat down on a bench to put my boots back on. He thought he was hilarious. Me, not so much.
