Tesco grocery delivery

Sorry not an AIBU but not sure where else to post, anyone else having this problem? Trying to book my grocery delivery, can’t see past the 11th april, the next new day goes live every night at 11:00pm and even if I click on it the second it turns 11:00 it just says their all gone. Meanwhile a friend of mine can see till the 18th and there’s slots available! I don’t know what to do, I’m trying not to go out but at this rate I will have to at some point because i can’t ever get a slot! Anyone have any idea?? I’ve tried calling but their closed.

Slots have been fully booked up for weeks because of everything going on. If you can, you should go out to the shops so that those who really can't go out have a better chance of using them.

Is your friend ordering from the same store? If not, that would explain the date availability.

I use sainsburys and have a similar issue. I think they have stopped people booking so that they can allocate slots to old and vulnerable before opening them up to the general public....

I usually get mine delivered but tbh I'm leaving the delivery slots for elderly or health compromised people to use and will go to the shops instead.

I appreciate I can't dictate who gets the slots I'm not using but that's my intention.

She literally this morning just booked for the 13th April. Same store and she lives not even a mile from me, and she said there’s plenty available when she logs in. We both have delivery saver.

Have you tried using a different type of device? So if you used the mobile website, try using a laptop or downloading the app?

Ask her if she will book one for you and get it delivered to your address. Not perfect I know.

Sometimes people living 2 streets away can have different stores delivering to them. Are you just basing the fact that she lives beside you to work out that it's the same store? For example my mum lives a 4-5 min walk from my house - different tesco stores delivers to her.

I use Ocado and can't get onto their website. I've accepted it for what it is and decided to use local shops instead for essentials that way those who really do need Ocado can use it (hopefully).

That is weird. I would give them a call or send them an email to try to find out if it’s correct? If it’s same on app and website then surely it must be correct for your address.
I can see up to the 18th today.
My Tesco delivery yesterday started as a £90 order for family of five & 3 pets, ended up £28 delivered. No bread, no milk, no eggs, no meat, no veg apart from carrots. My meal plans are out the window, we will just have to make do with stuff out the freezer etc as I want to avoid the shops as much as possible.

Oh no not just because of the fact that she lives down the road, it’s because hers are available till the 18th, it doesn’t make sense that she can see a whole 7days ahead of me! And now I’m realising the reason i can’t get anything every night is because those days have been available to others days in advance!

I have Tesco slots booked up to and including 18th April. It must be different for each area. When I first tried to book, it only went up to the 15th so i booked a slot and then every day a new day appeared I moved the slot until reaching the 18th. Am now going to do the same for the 25th.

I split my orders between Tesco and Waitrose and have just gone on the latter's website and there's a message - there are no slots for delivery or click/collect so guess I'll stick with Tescos.

Hope you can get a slot.

However she might be serviced by a different store - my postcode is serviced by the store 8 miles away as the store which is only 1 mile away services the postcodes to the north of us

I can't see any availability on Tesco either for my area. But if she can, couldn't she order you a shop of essentials and either drop on your doorstep or you could collect from her doorstep?

When did you sign up for the delivery plan? Just wondering if it's due to Easter and priority booking for people with plans active prior to a certain date iyswim

I'm expecting delivery today - wonder what will actually arrive! Next booked is for April 8. Trying to do it every other week instead of every, just keeping us ticking over.
