FrustratedTeddyLamp · 22/03/2020 01:00

Oh and seeing my niece and nephew who aren't visiting just in case.

HowIrresponsible · 22/03/2020 01:01

Never hearing those stupid new phrases ever again

Self isolating
Social distancing

Etc

They're already fucking hashtags for them

HowIrresponsible · 22/03/2020 01:02

They're already using hashtags that should say

Gemma2019 · 22/03/2020 01:17

I never want to hear or read the words panic buyers, greedy shoppers or selfish stockpilers etc ever again.

I look forward to getting my hair cut and being able to pop to the shops and pick up the food I went in to buy.

This crisis has been a real double edged sword as it has brought some benefits and life changes to my life, but obviously I would never wish any of the illness, death or personal difficulties on anyone.

Gemma2019 · 22/03/2020 01:19

I don't have any family members except those who live in my house so luckily haven't been affected by any social distancing. It will be nice to see friends again and pop out for lunch or cinema.

Zombiemum1946 · 22/03/2020 01:23

Having a cuppa with my dad, and rebooking a holiday.

AccioCake · 22/03/2020 01:31

Not having so many worries and rebooking our holiday. We were meant to be going away at the end of May. First family holiday abroad. DS was so excited about going on a plane for the first time. He's very understanding about why it needs to be postponed but I know he's disappointed.

As for the worries... I feel like I can't daydream or plan ahead. That probably sounds a bit depressing but before this I would find myself daydreaming about when DP and I have enough money to buy a house in a few years. Now his job is at risk and I can't dare to think about the future now in case it all falls apart. I just want the stress to go away.

What is with silly use of language lately

Co sleeping - baby in your bed
Baby wearing - using a sling
Boobing - feeding your baby

Now silly words for the pandemic

Self isolating- staying at home
Social distancing - not seeing friends and family

Lockdown - is a term used in prison

Ffs these silly words when did we start using language in such a way

Honeybee85 · 22/03/2020 01:37

Being able to fly back home to see my family and friends. Hopefully being able to see all of them back in good health.

Bug8 · 22/03/2020 01:39

Looking forward to baby meeting family, am 39+5, we won't be having visitors when he finally comes, so it will be an emotional moment when baby meets his family members.

Imohsotired · 22/03/2020 01:39

Hugging my elderly mum. I last saw her properly about two weeks ago and I can't help but think how I took it for granted and wish I'd hugged her longer.

Traveling. We split our time 50/50 between travel and our home base and I will never underestimate the freedom again.

Lovelydovey · 22/03/2020 01:49

Looking forward to not being so anxious or nervous about what is facing us. I feel constantly sick.

I want to see my mum and MIL again. Both are vulnerable and isolating themselves and both really upset at having to do this. My mum is counting down the 12 weeks already.

And to seeing new babies - i have a grand niece due any day 400 miles away and a nephew due in a few months 4000 miles away.

TheBlueMeaniesAreComing · 22/03/2020 01:56

Seeing my granny and giving her a hug again. She’s 72 with lung cancer and it’s killing me not seeing her. She’s like my mum.
My kids seeing their grandparents again. Being able to go out as a family again. Picnics, day trips, the cinema. Them going back to school, they miss their friends and teachers. In the space of a few days my ds1 has gone from thinking this is amazing to asking to go back to school. Dd1 hates the weekend because she’s not at school. Ds2 (4months) being able to have a nap during the day without all the noise waking him
Coffee with my best friend. Meeting up with my other SANDs mummies.
Not living with a constant knot in my stomach and so terrified it’s all I can think about

ploughingthrough · 22/03/2020 01:57

Travelling back to the UK to see my mum and friends.

SucculentCandle · 22/03/2020 02:06

My husband coming home. He's overseas and I don't know when I will see him again.

GrumpyHoonMain · 22/03/2020 02:09

Holiday.

browzingss · 22/03/2020 02:11

Not feeling constantly on edge, I hate the unpredictability of this novel pandemic

CupCupGoose · 22/03/2020 02:16

My friends and family meeting my newborn. Feel so sad that near enough no one has been able to meet him yet and probably won't for a long time.

Justsaynonow · 22/03/2020 02:20

Hugging my DD, who's on lockdown on the other side of the world.

Not being sick with fear about the number of deaths that are coming.

Not being worried that I won't be able to get health care if I need it for my sometimes life threatening health condition.

Rebooking the holiday I'm in the process of cancelling.

For our local woods to go back to normal numbers of users. It's like rush hour in there these days.

Thamesis · 22/03/2020 02:31

Heartbroken2020 I'm so sorry you are going through such a devastating time Flowers

PotholeParadise · 22/03/2020 02:41

I have a list of friends I want to hug. Some of them a fair few years older than me, heading into the70+ zone, so I don't even dare see them right now.

PrimeraVez · 22/03/2020 02:59

@Heartbroken2020 I’m so sorry about your baby Flowers

alloutoffucks · 22/03/2020 03:06

Taking it for granted that I will live to see my kids grown up.

MotherOfAllNameChanges · 22/03/2020 03:11

Hugging my elderly parents 💛

DioneTheDiabolist · 22/03/2020 03:11

Seeing my mum and siblings all together. Eating slow cooked beef with all the trimmings. Touching eachother. Being annoyed by eachother. Going home. And getting drunk online with eachother.WineGrin

I'm mostly looking forward to touch, tea and being with other adults that I love.Grin
