Sky bill gone up?

HJWT · 21/03/2020 09:01

Anybody else's sky bill gone up? Signed up at £20 + £5 kids, it went up £2 last year so £27 a month and again this year £2 so should be £29 after the 1st April! They have taken £32 out of my account this month and my direct debit has changed to £32....

Ring them and due to Covid 19 no one there to talk about bills! Find that hilarious.

Also my mums got internet with them and it is running really slow, again due to the virus no one to sort it!

AIBU to cancel the direct debit until they can sort it out? They are already ripping us of! Its only £25 for new customers with Netflix 😤

We had a letter to say that our bill was going up by £5

nicknackpaddy · 21/03/2020 09:03

Have your offers ended ?

Mockerswithnoknockers · 21/03/2020 09:38

Are you Sky Q?

Check the settings on your box for offers. You may be able to reduce your bill by signing up to the new Sky Signature (free box sets) offer.

I got through yesterday morning on 0800 151 2747 to stop my Sky Sports free of charge. This free number seems to be better than the pay number 0344 2411280. But they're shut for the weekend now and likely to be overwhelmed with calls on Monday morning.

What's funny about that? Confused

Glitterb · 21/03/2020 10:04

I cancelled it and got Now TV instead, I don’t watch sport etc anyway so refused to pay £30 a month for shit tv and service

All this keyworker non key worker divisive shite is pissing me off esp around schools. Yet we still want services and life to go on whilst on lockdown. Or is it only certain people who have the privilege to wfh or stay at home.
This pandemic certainly brings out the worst in people.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 21/03/2020 10:19

Guessing a deal you had has ended as well as the yearly increase

HJWT · 26/03/2020 17:31

@TheWordWomanIsTaken oh fgs why are people on Mumsnet so bloody bitchy!!

BECAUSE you can ring someone and get through to BUY from sky and you can have someone come out and fit a dish but no one for billing !? Ridiculous.

We had a deal and were paying aroung 50 inc internet.

Payment taken for over 100 and had no idea why. Deal had ended but had no correspondence to look at alternatives. Cancelled and haven't been back since. Not my fave company tbh.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 26/03/2020 17:41

Price increases April.

GoldenKirst · 26/03/2020 19:53

Yes, we had a letter to say going up £2/month for TV and £2.50/month for internet so we'll be paying £90/month for basic TV with movies added on, phone line and internet
