To want to throttle DH

He’s snoring like a wounded hippo which in itself in enough. But he woke me at 4.30am when he knocked the fan over on his way back to bed in the dark having been for a pee. Then he climbed back in and started snoring within ten minutes while I’m wide awake having been woken by his almighty clattering. At 5.15 I heard a crash in the kitchen so went to investigate. DH had left this kitchen door open (we close it every night to keep the dog out of it) and the greedy dog had knocked over and emptied the bin. It’s now 6am and I can’t get back to sleep. He’s STILL snoring and I want to smother him!!!
I’ve had tonsillitis all week - with no paracetamol thanks to twatting panic buyers - and really need some rest. DH actually said yesterday ‘oh I saw some paracetamol but didn’t buy it because I didn’t realise you were ill’. FFS. Now he does have cognitive/memory issues but that smarted. I’ve been visibly and audibly unwell but still continuing to look after our son (at home all week already as immune compromised). Today he wants to ‘go stock up on meat’ lol good luck and he’s concerned about running out of fizzy pop. He currently buys pop bloody daily when he delivers his work post to the post office. Aaargh I want to throttle him!!!!!! AND HES STILL SNORING!!!

GrinGrinGrin loving some of these replies!

10am and he’s brought me a coffee, I am lounging in bed cuddling the dog while DH is up with bouncy DS. We get on great it was a lighthearted post! He did say when he brought my coffee up though that he’s tired because he didn’t sleep well... now where’s that spade?

You have a load of free meat right there. Do you have a chest freezer?

wannabebetter · 21/03/2020 10:05

Aside from snore spray does anyone have any other tired & tested snore remedies? Asking for a friend.....Confused

Oh I do feel your pain. I recorded dh’s snoring on my phone the other night. Apparently it only sounds loud because I had the volume turned up full when I recorded it, and it’s not that bad Hmm

And a leg of lamb. Then you can eat the murder weapon you brained him with.

callmeadoctor · 21/03/2020 11:52

Use childrens calpol, op. Liquid paracetamol is easier to take with bad throat x

I often send DH in to sleep with DS when he snores (DS is 6 and loves the cuddles). I use a white noise app for my tinnitus and even with headphones in I could hear him last night.

Otherwise I would be replacing our decking with a patio.

Desperate times call for desperate measures !
Glad this is light hearted, OP.
Many years ago I had anacquaintance from the DC school who killed her abusive husband and DID bury him in the garden! She sent her DCs over to my friends house for a playdate while she threw the dirt in the hole! She went to trial and was acquitted for self-defence since he'd told her he was going to do away with her....it was in 1992.
