AIBU to want some nursing shoes (for redeployment) that are comfortable but I will be able to wear when this is all over? Please help. I have a wide foot to add to the trouble.

I buy Josef Siebel shoes for work after 12.5 hr shift my feet have never hurt. I swear by them and they last for ages.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 20/03/2020 21:20

Clark's online do very comfy shoes, lots of colleagues where the same lace up style. Soft soles are best.

I wear DM's. I have loads of pairs in lovely colors but am keeping to one pair at the moment. I'm a mental health nurse so not such stringent rules.

I'm getting loads of pop up ads for clarks outlet that i'm desperately trying to ignore - excellent discounts and 10% off for new customers.
Hotter shoes are great for wide feet - they tend to come up large, try a smaller size. Also purchased in their sale a couple of weeks ago, may still be on.

Slip on sketchers

Frigginella · 20/03/2020 21:27

Are sketchers too soft on top or are they allowed? I wondered about these

I’m being optimistic thinking I don’t want to pay £70 for a couple of months and then never wear them again

Looooove my Skechers go walks! They’re soft top but within uniform policy, and can go on a hot wash. So comfy, memory foam sole. They’re like slippers.

HappyHammy · 20/03/2020 21:29

I wore black sketchers. You can find them quite cheap on some sites. I only used them for work.

fairgame84 · 20/03/2020 21:31

Skechers every time. Lace up rather than velcro.

Wineislifex · 20/03/2020 21:41

Another vote for sketchers!

dontaskformedicaladviceonmn · 20/03/2020 21:53

Sketchers feel like wearing slippers they are so comfy.

VivaLeBeaver · 20/03/2020 21:57

Sketchers do a 10% nhs discount,

Clark unloops are also good.

ADreamOfGood · 20/03/2020 22:01

I'm so sorry, I've obviously been on MN too long, because I thought this was something to do with breastfeeding necessities!

Ginfizz2 · 20/03/2020 22:02

I wear crocs (labour ward midwife) there pretty comfy and easy to clean

Wimpeyspread · 20/03/2020 22:03

Skechers slip on GoWalks were what I used to wear - bonus is they’re washable and feel like you’re wearing slippers - I too have wide feet

catwithnohat · 20/03/2020 22:06

I have some size 38 Ecco soft that you're welcome to, if you want to PM me. White. FOC.

bruffin · 20/03/2020 22:07

Dd bought sketchers work wear. If you work for NHS you get 20% off . She says they are so comfy.

Jozen · 20/03/2020 22:08

I wear black Adidas Superstars. Wear well and really comfortable for my wide feet.

DontBe · 20/03/2020 22:09

I bought a pair of these a few weeks ago, to replace a pair of black brogues that were knackered.

tamaris.com/en-BG/low-shoes/1-1-23202-23.html#color=001

They weigh next to nothing and are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned and my bad knee has improved since I've been wearing them. Mind you, my feet area bit weird (narrow with a high instep).

I got mine for £40 in the sale in a local independent shoe shop.

justasking111 · 20/03/2020 22:29

Skechers go walks are wonderful. DS has an awful foot injury from rugby it is all he can bear on his feet sometimes.

ClockworkNightingale · 20/03/2020 22:31

Normally wear Hotter shoes, but have switched to Crocs mercy work shoes as they're so easy to wipe clean. They're enclosed without holes, so can be a bit sweaty, but very squishy to walk in. Not as wide as normal Crocs, but still pretty roomy.

pazwaz70 · 20/03/2020 22:34

Skechers, much needed for 12 hour shifts. They are so comfortable.

littleduckeggblue · 20/03/2020 22:40
