Because everything is awful. The world is burning. My business is screwed as of today. My loan company don't want to know and my kids are panicking because their jobs and careers are in jeopardy, holidays ruined, grandparents at risk, and mum is in bits worrying about money. Postpone it!

Well if it genuinely is the only day in the year that your family respect you and treat you kindly then you’ve got big problems

A card is quite enough for me. I sent flowers to my Mum and we had a chat. Perfect. Nothing to postpone.

@bridgetreilly in an ideal world, that's what it would be.he always nips out late the night before or the morning of mothers day.
Last year he left it so late, they came back with a birthday card that said sister on it, and a pug.
DD was mortified that there weren't any mothers day cards left
