School closures.

So I have been told that my stress over schools closing is basically “ parents whining about having to actually look after their own kids” and also that “maybe parents who had more kids to get benefits are now getting their comeback “.
Am I being unreasonable in finding this attitude hurtful and judgmental.

I’m fine looking after my own kids. Love having them at home more. I just can’t do that and work.

Has someone actually said these words to you, or are you commenting on stuff you've read on fb?

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 19/03/2020 22:42

Well you can rest assured that that person is just projecting their own feelings OP- and it’s no reflection on you. Please don’t take their opinion under your notice.

maybe parents who had more kids to get benefits are now getting their comeback

Has someone actually said this? It’s so irrelevant to the current situation I would have to wonder what planet they were on and then move on and ignore.

It depends on your level of whinging I guess?

I haven't heard anyone express that opinion but then I haven't heard many people moaning that they're shut other than the usual half jokey summer holidays "how will we cope?" Type thing.
