I thought Bertie soon as I looked at him....then read the thread and saw others had suggested it. Smile Another name suggested I like is Percy. Or what about Boris? Grin

I love old names for dogs. Mine's a Maggie.

Spidey66 · 19/03/2020 13:35

@SkiingIsHeaven
That crossed my mind too....but I'm sure everyone's sick of that word by now!

namemypuppyplz · 19/03/2020 13:39

DS now wants to call him Diesel (like the engine on Thomas the tank engine). There's a theme here...

Diesel's pretty cute, actually, even if it isn't environmentally friendly!

steppemum · 19/03/2020 14:10

In Thomas the Tank there are a pair of black engines, they are scottish twins and they are called
Donald and Douglas.
Both lovely for a puppy, but Douglas wins hands down for me.

EmmaOvary · 19/03/2020 14:11

Arlo

SparklesAllOver · 19/03/2020 14:21

Diesel is a cool name!

BettyBloom · 19/03/2020 14:34

We went with the chuggingtons theme for our pets:
Dog = koko
Hedgehog = wilson
Fish = brewster
Thanks god the kids have grown out of cbeebies Smile

hurryupautumn · 19/03/2020 14:43

Definitely a Hugo. He's so cute!

Horsemad · 19/03/2020 14:50

Sweep.

Youtoldme · 19/03/2020 15:31

Bowie

Duchessofblandings · 19/03/2020 15:32

Snowy

Aneley · 19/03/2020 15:35

Gatsby :)

juicy0 · 19/03/2020 15:45

Dudley or digby

Davros · 19/03/2020 15:56

I like Diesel

frostedviolets · 19/03/2020 16:17

Are you sure this a good idea with the (likely) incoming lockdown?

How do you plan to socialise a young puppy that may only be allowed very short, limited exercise?

A labradoodle is a BIG dog, there’s no such thing as a ‘miniature’ Hmm labradoodle and if it develops behavioural problems as a result of poor socialisation will be much harder to handle than a much smaller dog surely?

thesunwillout · 19/03/2020 16:23

Jeez, I bet you get invited to alot of parties

KarmaStar · 19/03/2020 16:29

Ludo.
Ged.
Whizz.
Names that are good to use with commands and recalls.
(And remember the vets will call you out, " Fluffy Smith" please!!😀

lovepickledlimes · 19/03/2020 17:07

@frostedviolets even if op did not get this puppy this puppy still exists. We have no idea how long the op has been planning to get this puppy. She could have reserved it way before any of this potential lockdown was an issue. What do you suggest should be done with all these puppies because wether it is with OP or another person it will still have the same needs

LakieLady · 19/03/2020 17:10

I second @Pinkarsedfly's suggestion of Nero - great name, 100% relevant, excellent for calling, and you're most unlikely ever to meet another dog called Nero.

hadenough · 19/03/2020 17:19

Fofo.

It is Portuguese for cute.

But actually, THANK YOU for providing cute puppy pictures.

It is so much nicer than anything else related to the C word. And a welcome bit of niceness.

Ratonastick · 19/03/2020 17:29

I love Diesel, great name for a black dog. I was going to suggest Lionel (My Nan’s poodle was a Lionel and it suited him) or Bandit.

SleepOhHowIMissYou · 19/03/2020 17:44

Liquorice, licky for short 😉

Duchessofblandings · 19/03/2020 17:54

Seem to remember our puppy having to stay in for quite some time, until she’s had all of her jabs, anyway?

The puppy exists, it needs an home and it certainly won’t lack attention with everyone forced to be in the house.

allaboardthesinkingship · 19/03/2020 18:09

He looks like a Lenny to me 😍
