I know I probably am! I live in a quiet, private cul-de-sac where everyone knows each other and gets on well. The whole estate is quite set back from main roads and we’re right at the back of it as well. Most of us have CCTV but mine is a cheap one so can’t make out things like people’s faces or reg plates.
Since I’ve been self isolating I’ve been noticing something strange. 5 different cars over the past 24 hours have driven up the cul-de-sac, stopped for up to 5 minutes, turned around and driven off. The same car has done it twice today. Once this morning and once just after lunch. Stopping in weird places like diagonally over someone’s driveway. Most neighbours have been out so not been deliveries or anything like that. Also no one got out of the cars. I don’t know if I’m being crazy but to me it’s like they’re coming to pinch something like bicycles left out front or the neighbour’s scrap (one has a few appliances on their driveway), they see the cameras and drive off. They’ve all driven off quite fast as well. Everyone leaves their kids bikes out front since it’s always been a fairly safe area, plus we have the CCTV. Can’t see their faces so can’t tell exactly what they’re looking at.
If it was just one or two cars I’d put it down to them being lost but for five different cars, one doing it twice is pretty bizarre. Is this self isolation driving me crazy😂 have posted on our Nextdoor group to see if anyone else has experienced the same thing not got a response yet. OH has joked it’s people scouting out houses to loot when all the supermarkets are empty!
