The kids played really nicely together on the first day of self isolating.

The sun is out and we have a garden

DH just bought me a coffee in bed

My friends family and neighbours are all being brilliant with virtual meet ups and supporting each other.

And my horsey friends are looking after dpony and sending me pics and videos of her whilst I am stuck at home

So many lovely things ❤️

I took my daughter out for a driving lesson in her new car and she did really well. It’s looking as if I won’t be the only driver in the house soon.

ellanwood · 22/03/2020 07:56

We took the kids out to a wide open heath yesterday and had a long walk in the sunshine.

nutellafortea · 22/03/2020 08:09

Yesterday I had a very long chat with my MIL. We spent almost an hour on the phone. She is such a positive lady. We had loads of belly laughs, it was great.

I'm in quarantine in Spain (the whole country is in lockdown) and I feel so happy to be with my husband... of all the people I know, he is the one to be stuck with :)

bez91 · 22/03/2020 08:17

I got the results for my final exam and didn't just pass but smashed it 🥳🍾

Just a dissertation to go

Meeeh · 22/03/2020 11:57

I found the school library book they were going to charge us for. Bonus: there’s time to read it now.

Banoffeecoffee · 22/03/2020 12:03

One of my oldest friends got married this week. Only 2 witnesses but the pure joy and happiness on their faces was wonderful. Hoping to be an Auntie again in 9 months Wink

SudokuQueen · 22/03/2020 12:24

Guess good news for us is that by having to work from home and hobbies being cut down, we are able to save more money for our wedding next year for a few months.

Oh and it's finally not raining!

powkin · 22/03/2020 21:14

@BiscuitMachine Ducks! So joyous! Now I want a pond! My parents have a pair that visit their garden every day during the nesting season each year. It’s the cutest thing and makes my dad so happy (although he pretend grumbles about the poo). I get regular photos! Would love a house that comes with ducks one day.

Milo2 · 22/03/2020 21:23

Best thread ever! I have no good news other than I’m happy to be alive and grateful to have a healthy family right now! Smile

Pizzamyhart · 22/03/2020 21:37

After nearly 3 years of TTC I found out I am pregnant this week.

BLACKBURNmumof4 · 23/03/2020 09:44

Had all 4 of my children at home for Mother’s Day and managed a walk in the sun with our dog. Eldest daughter (24) and youngest child (son, 16) cooked our dinner, it took ages but was delicious Grin

GnomicGnu · 23/03/2020 10:02

I have a giant hedgehog living in the hedgehog house at the bottom of the garden. S/he is the size of a football and confuses the hell out of the cat.

AngeloMysterioso · 23/03/2020 10:36

I managed to get a dentist appointment this afternoon. Hopefully they can sort out whatever’s been giving me persistent toothache for months and I won’t have to keep panic buying paracetamol!

AngeloMysterioso · 23/03/2020 10:37

Pizzamyhart CONGRATULATIONS!!

bogoblin · 23/03/2020 10:55

Pizza Congratulations!!

I had my first scan at 13 weeks last week and saw our baby! I watched it do a full-body stretch it was amazing!

And the garden people are still doing our decking so at least we have somewhere nice to sit out this summer!

Emmagen · 23/03/2020 11:50

I'm pregnant too, it took roughly 2 years for number one and 3rd month in for second pregnancy ConfusedGrin

We are a bit surprised and the Coronavirus situation is scary as obviously I'm gonna need antenatal care and had we not caught in feb we'd probably have stopped trying for a bit but still, pregnant!!!!

The weather is lovely, our old dog is loving it.

Our 3yr old DS is finally getting there with his words.

We work from home and whilst business is down we are incredibly lucky right now that we can social distance easily and continue to work.

ThePittts · 23/03/2020 11:52

My newest dgs has just started to smile at 6 weeks :)

SimonJT · 23/03/2020 11:58

My boyfriends citizenship has been finalised! We were worried it wouldn’t be as he lost his job last Monday so no longer fulfils the earning criteria.

The ceremonies are cancelled, but as of 10am this morning he is officially a British citizen!!!! So many worries are gone knowing that he’ll always be able to live here.

theseriousmoonlight · 23/03/2020 13:16

This such a gorgeously happy thread. Thank you OP.

Today I heard my baby's heartbeat and recorded it. I'm 28 weeks and I'm sure i heard it during one of the scans but I was so anxious at both after a mc last summer that I didn't record it.

The sun is shining, I have books on my kindle, tea in my cupboard and my dd playing at my feet. Life is certainly strange and scary at the moment but the little things will see us through.

powkin · 25/03/2020 20:24

DD did her first ever bit of art today (held a crayon and wiggled it across some paper). Was so proud I could cry. It has been something I've been really excited for so was so happy to see her red and yellow crayon squiggles!

I know I will look back and roll my eyes at myself but right now I cannot wait for the PVA glue and glitter and pasta shells and lentils to be in every possible nook and cranny. I always really wanted to do more creative things with my mum so I hope she'll have a few more happy memories of doing those things with me.

aibutohavethisusername · 25/03/2020 21:23

That’s so lovely powkin.
