To not order the bed?

My LO is still in a cot (15 months so no hurry) I’m in the process of picking a nice bed out.

My issue is the one I like is £235 and can’t be delivered for 3 weeks.
I don’t want to spend a lot of money for something that potentially won’t come due to the inevitable lockdown measures.

Should I go for it and risk losing the cash or would I be unreasonable to assume the worst and not place my order?

YABU- buy the bed
YANBU- leave it just now

They won't charge you if they can't deliver. I'd order it.

Buy it with a credit card, for extra protection?

Twooter · 16/03/2020 11:45

I would look for one you don’t like quite as much that’s available immediately.

I’ve not got a credit card but usually use PayPal that’s pretty secure with refunds isn’t it?

If you’re not in a hurry just wait.

I bought something via PayPal and the refund was back into PayPal after I’d already settled the amount by my linked credit card, so just be aware that’s an extra step. Not sure how much hassle it would be to transfer money back as I hardly ever use it.

you dont have the same protection from Paypal that you do with a credit card

You can get your money back via PayPal if they can't supply the goods.

I'd order the bed. You aren't in a massive hurry for it.
