I know I probably am being unreasonable but would really really appreciate any advice on Burgess Hill. We are moving there asap and wondered if anyone could recommend nice areas / areas to avoid? We like The Gattons infant. We saw a house we loved on Royal George Road, seems niceish but want to avoid any dodgy areas and / or find the roads that people like! We have 2 small children so nice family area most important. Any advice at all much appreciated. This is going to be a quick move and I don't have as much time as I would hope to properly scout out areas as my dad has had a stroke and I'm up and down the country looking after him sadly. Any advice or thoughts would be very gratefully received. Thanks everyone!

Do a search, as I seem to remember there was a recent post on a similar theme. Also less recent ones. Good luck!

Burgess Hill is v boring and v dull.
Hassocks is prettier.
Brighton Much more fun.
Royal George Rd is quite busy, so id look elsewhere tbh.
A few of the rds off have a bac rep inc Denham Rd (bad for Burgess Hill, not compared to bad inner city , probably just snobbishness).
However it depends where you live now. Its safe enough.
