I just fancy a glum free thread.

Has anyone had something nice happen?

I was given a tree/bush on the day that my DH was diagnosed with cancer a year ago. Just been out to the garden and not only is it sprouting for spring there is an off shoot of a new tree.

DH gets his post treatment results in 2 weeks.

tealandteal · 15/03/2020 19:15

I just put DS(3) to bed and he was telling me all about his "best friends", he was so happy and innocent. As I left the room he said "I love you Mummy".

Punkatheart · 15/03/2020 19:18

Wishing him a good outcome, tinybluerose. I hope spring blossoms just as he does.

I am getting a greenhouse for my birthday on Wednesday and I am growing so many seeds, including funky tomatoes.

mbosnz · 15/03/2020 19:21

It was an absolutely beautiful sunset. I'm still trying to figure out how, given that the sun didn't shine all day!

The smell of the spring narcissi (sp) bouquet is beautiful.

My cat was pawing at the tv of a video of her pawing at the tv at a video of her pawing at the tv. (She's a very dumb cat. . .)

The weeping willows are starting to wear their spring veil of green.

mbosnz · 15/03/2020 19:22

Good luck to your DH tinybluerose. Fingers, toes, knees and eyes crossed for you both!

Punkatheart · 15/03/2020 19:29

I love the sound of your cat, mbosnz. I can't have a cat because my daughter has a husky - I adore everything about cats.

Smelborp · 15/03/2020 19:29

The pollution levels across the world have dropped.

Today we baked cakes. My children didn't argue. Today was a good day

@Punkatheart my daughter would drool at the thought of your daughter's husky - she loves everything 'doggo' as she calls them - we joke that she's a dog on two legs - if we go to the beach, all the dogs will ignore the rest of us, and swarm her, asking her to go play, and what's she walking like that for!

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 15/03/2020 19:44

We rescued a little hedgehog yesterday. And searched for shells at the beach. I know what you mean about glum-ness. I've felt quite down this afternoon.

My massive cat is finally knot free and is basking in his own magnificence

My young adult sons told me they loved me today, completely unprompted and independently.

My dog snuggled into me when I came home from work.

incognitomum · 15/03/2020 21:22

@tinybluerose thank you for telling us that and many best wishes Daffodil

Had a great night at a friends house party last night, DP and I had a lovely leisurely breakfast of porridge and toast and lemon curd then took ddog on a long walk up a glen and back, lit a lovely fire and I've spent the rest of the day relaxing and reading. I bloody love a lazy Sunday 😁
