I live alone and have just lost a very close family member. I don't have any family or friends support and have been feeling awful, today I spent nearly all day in bed half sleeping half crying. I only see other people when I am at work and that is the place to keep the stiff upper lip going and not think about it for me. Talking to strangers on the phone doesn't help me either but I have nowhere to turn to.
I should man up I know and it's my own stupid fault I have nobody but it is so hard.

I don't know many of their favourite places but they preferred Melbourne to Sydney flights and also doing Sydney to the nz South Island

This thread restored my faith that there are some kind people out there. I hope you're OK today op 💐

Hope you're feeling a little better this morning.

How about making plans for your Australia trip? Do you know any favourite places your relative had? Restaurants, parks etc? You could "visit" online and look at menus etc, plan an itinerary, look at street view and so on?

Good morning OP
Be kind to yourself, it’s not your “stupid fault” you feel as you do, and you’re certainly not stupid.
You’re grieving darling, and it’s hard, it’s horrible and lonely. But allow yourself to grieve and accept there will be hard days, but there are better days coming too.
Sending virtual hugs 🤗

Sorry for your loss

Do you have any of the postcards that they sent you ? You could stick them in a frame to hang on the wall

For a future project, you could perhaps find someone who is in hospital long term & send them postcards. Or a friend or a family member
