My son and his partner have almost certainly contracted Covid19 - I say 'almost' because they have not been tested.

They started showing symptoms last Wednesday, did all the right things - rang the GP, rang 111,. the surgery basically said 'carry on'. 111 was a checklist - one question was 'have you been in direct contact with anyone with the virus' - to which the answer was 'no' - so again - carry on.

They live in the West, but had visited a very crowded club in London 3 weekends ago. So in'carrying on' for the past week, gawd knows howmany other people they have infacted. It's mad.

Yep...one of my friends is a doctor in an ED and his live-in partner has what is almost certainly Covid19. My friend is not currently showing any symptoms and has been in work this whole week, as apparently NHS have said you only have to stay off work if you are showing symptoms. But if he lives with someone with the virus, surely he could be contaminating others whether or not he has symptoms himself? Seems mad to me.

I also noticed the local park run going ahead this morning, and Bath Half Marathon is going ahead tomorrow - all seems mad, if the NHS is going to get overwhelmed surely we should have restrictions now?
