Places to stay in UK with teenagers?

2 teens age 13 and 15 and wanting to go somewhere for a few days over Easter. We daren't travel abroad at the moment and are aware UK holidays can be very weather dependent. Any suggestions on interesting places for teenagers would be very welcome.

I’d probably wait for a couple of weeks before booking anything.

What sort of things do your teenagers like to do and what are their interests?

Following with interest- may be staying in the uk this year instead of our usual France holiday! So looking for ideas myself

What do they like doing as that has a huge bearing on it!

We took our 18 year old to Bristol last year (admittedly it was to meet boyfriend and family) and found there was plenty to do. Liverpool has plenty to interest teens as well.

I’ve heard Portsmouth is good and I’m thinking of going in the summer. Apparently there are 5 ships and submarines you can go round - Lord Nelson’s HMS Victory which looks like pirates of the carribean type ships, Henry Tudor’s mary rose which was brought up from bottom of the ocean and has a big exhibition to see plus a submarine in the harbour and more! I’m not totally sure but I think you get a ticket to see all the different attractions. I’m looking into it for ourselves 👍

It definitely depends what they're in to. Holidays with bored or moody teens are not worth doing. Firstly, I would book somewhere with lots of space for you all in case you do end up ill or isolated. Then think about what you might do if local attractions or shops close.

That sounds a bit doom and gloom but it's a difficult situation and there's lots to consider. For me, with one teen left at home who gets bored easily - I'd rather be at home!
