To want to do a ouija board?

I’ve tried to prove to myself that ghosts exist for years. I’ve stayed in “haunted hoteld”, travelled to “ the most haunted island” etc and nothing has ever happened.

I want to do a ouija board ... as final proof that the supernatural does not exist but nobody will do one with me, not even people m that “don’t believe” or people that “want to believe” etc

I’ve done one on my own but nothing happened. AIBU for wanting someone to just humour me with this?

I used to think they were harmless and I didn't believe in them. As an adult woo person I have had to deal with negative consequences of people doing ouija boards and I know now they can be unpleasant.

Most likely nothing would happen, but in some cases it opens up a door for all kinds of dregs from the lower astral realms to enter and then you have to get rid of them. So be careful what you wish for.

I once dealt with a bunch of large male rugby playing no-nonsense medical students who had had paranormal activity in their house and decided to make contact via a ouija board for a laugh. All hell broke loose and they scared the bejesus out of themselves, which, if you saw the size of them, was kind of amusing.

If I were you I'd watch all the back episodes of Paranormal Witness and Rescue Mediums you can find and keep going to haunting haunted places. Arf.

No doubt you're aware that 'talking boards' were used by mediums and spiritualists long before Hasbro decided to manufacture them commercially. Automatic writing techniques are as old as the hills. Egyptians used it, ancient China etc.

I love this astral-plane snobbery! Aren't those spirits from the lower realms horrid and common? If I'm having any fucking demons hurling crockery around MY front room I want properly-spoken ones called Edward and Amelia.

I don't understand tbh. You don't believe in ghosts - so why would you want to see if a ouija board works? what is it going to prove? either nothing happens, or something happens and you blame it on one of the other people moving it or whatever. Then what?

However, I went with the most haunted team off of the tv and did one and it def worked

If 'dangerous things come through' then I imagine that at least one military or private company would have utilised them by now.
