Ranting hand gel

AIBU to really want to shoot the CFS in this world who would dare steal hand gel from the end of hospital beds. The nurses I know are now taking away all the removable gels and locking them up. I want to know what I suitable punishment would be

Yes - one of the major London hospitals is having to make their own because of scumbags ripping the dispensers off the wall and stealing the contents.

Yanbu. My sister work in neonatal intensive care (ie looking after very sick babies) and people are nicking the hand gel. Utter cunts. I can’t believe the selfishness.

We've had to lock away all the hand gels where I work, it's a neonatal unit ffs! Really sick babies and the parents, (and it's only parents allowed to visit) are stealing the hand gels!! Makes me so angry.
Good job the loo rolls are in a locked dispenser or they'd be gone too!

Who are the 13% who think it is OK to steal hand gel from hospitals?

I was in Tesco earlier. The hand gel shelf was empty, and there was a notice saying that there were restrictions to 5 per customer. Do people really need to buy 5 hand gels at a time?

@Clymene Nothing surprises me anymore, when Ronald MacDonald house opened so that parents of sick children can stay close to them free of charge,we had 2 parents banned for trashing their room, and toys stolen from the playroom!!

Having had a baby in Neonatal (in winter, when the hygiene rules are most strict) it is abhorrent to think people could steal from such a place??

Visiting guidelines were also very strict so it could only be the parents / grandparents who are in the unit, ergo only them (or staff!) stealing.

And yes how thick, selfish and deplorable do you have to be to steal from the place keeping very poorly babies alive / well.

I think they should be prosecuted with a massive fine to be given to the nhs. Another thought perhaps a sanitising gel should be given to every home in the country.

The operating theatre where I work have had to lock away masks,gloves.gowns and hand gel as wards have been taking them as we are getting Covid patients but they have no protective clothing.The problem being that is not what our kit is suitable for.

That's really stupid. The medics need it more than we do. They need to stay healthy to do their job and take care of us. We can use soap and water and it does the job just fine, but they need hand sanitiser to do their job. When half the medics cant work because their own health has been compromised these selfish cunts will be the first to complain. I despair at how self centred and selfish people are. Idiots
